Front E-Piano is a small single sound instrument without any settings that reproduces a timbre, which is similar to Yamaha DX-7 type e-piano. It is available as VSTi for Windows, and as an AudioUnit, VSTi and RTAS for Mac.

This instrument is small on memory and CPU usage and was found useful by many users and software developers as a plug&play e-piano module, which does not require any configuration or adjustment.

This is a vintage piano module with a characteristic recognisable sound and a gentle overdrive.

Front E-Piano reproduces the classic sound similar to Rhodes RSP73 pianos, however is not identical. The sound generation is not entirely based upon samples, thus there are 127 continuous layers provided with a vintage Rhodes smooth overdrive.. It is available as VSTi for Windows, and as an AudioUnit, VSTi and RTAS for Mac.

Unlike many other software modules and samplers, this module will never overload CPU. It will never stick notes, and never interrupt the sound during live performances.

Currently W1 Limiter 2.0 is in beta. The final version will introduce limiting meters and a graph. Please also note, the OS X version is not backwards compatible, while Windows version is backwards compatible. However on both systems projects saved with W1 v2.0 will not load with the previous obsolete version.

W1 Limiter is a clone of Waves L1, with identical output, as well as an approximation of Waves L2.

This was accomplished without reverse engineering Waves products, and the result was obtained by adjusting 4Front YLimiter, by doing the following:

1. Simplifying release curve
2. Increasing release time 3 times (see notes below)
3. Altering softening circuit filter

Waves L1 famous limiter (and thus W1 - for compatibility reasons) uses three times longer actual release time than standard RT60 metric. This means that if you set 50ms release in the limiter, it will actually yield with 150ms standard RT60 release time.

Different engineers recommend different values for release time, the default value is chosen reasonably to provide a smooth limiting for most typical usage of the limiter. If one is not experienced with limiters, it is recommended to keep the default release time.

Current beta version also adds the adaptive release. I tried to replicate Waves L2, however their tangent curve is very complex, so I could only approximate its behaviour (which actually should be quite close, but unlike L1 part, not digitally identical). Waves ARC uses fixed thresholds of 250 and 500ms, while W1 still allows changing release time while in adaptive mode. Also, IDR dithering is not emulated.

The Xhip Effects bundle are simple, general purpose, rack-mount style effects designed to be flexible, easy to use and most importantly fun.

Many other effects plug-ins are designed with a more specialized focus or attempt to do what some might consider "too much", making them needlessly complex when used for a simple purpose like a stereo delay.

Xhip Effects are intended to be used in a more plug-and-play, old-school, "analog" or "by ear" way rather than including pages of presets or hidden menus and back-panel switches. Each effect is designed to include only the most minimal parameters in a knob-strip format much like you'd expect on a rack-mount effect unit or a guitar pedal.

These effects provide every parameter via the plug-in interface for parameter automation and do not include menus, tabbed windows or other more complex UI features. Rather than a manual, detailed documentation is maintained for each effect.

Acon Digital Multiply is a free and versatile chorus effect with a unique twist. Each simulated voice is processed with a phase randomizing filter so that unpleasant comb filter effects are avoided. The effect can be used to simulate the effect of several performers playing the same tones simultaneously, to widen the spatial image or to create special effects for sound design.

Multiply can simulate up to 6 additional voices and both the pitch and the loudness of the voices can be modulated. There is also an integrated equalizer consisting of low cut, low shelf, high shelf and high cut filters that can be applied to the effect signal. An integrated pre-delay section makes it possible to create modulated and diffuse echo effects.

Phazor is a free effect plugin, which emulates the phaser effect found in the Access Virus synthesizers, which helped make its characteristic sound. A lot of time was devoted to make it sound very close to the original and every control has been carefully adjusted to behave just like the phaser from the Access Virus.

It has selectable 1 to 6 stage all-pass filters controlled by an LFO, with spread and feedback controls. The plugin is highly optimized and its CPU usage is minimal, allowing for multiple instances to be used in a project.

Alan Vista has made a number of plugins that feature percussion instruments samples from the University of Iowa Electronic Music School.

The sounds are all pretty good and the plugins allow for nice control and shaping of your sound. They all are excellent to add a tropical touch to your tracks or even, why not, to create fully tropical tracks with the addition of other Chinese, Japanese, Balinese, Thai or Polynesian instruments, sampled or not. • VibroMaster, a sampled vibraphone.

With the A1StereoControl plugin you will be able to expand or limit the STEREO WIDTH of your tracks using only one single knob. This powerful technique can be used on single tracks or groups tracks while mixing or even on a master bus in final mastering situations.

As many experienced mixing & mastering engineers worldwide are complaining, stereo-expansion can have unwanted side-effects. Especially the bass frequencies should normally be simple mono. As you may guess, this plugin has also a solution for this problem.

Safe Bass

The integrated "Safe Bass" algorithm centers all bass frequencies below a adjustable value right back into the middle of the stereo field. This gives your tracks the solidity and definition you want while preserving maximum transparency and sharpness. Similar techniques were used by professional studio producers over ages with either expansive hardware devices like elliptical equalizers or even advanced m/s-processors. With this plugin you will be able to manage this complicated task with a minimum effort.

Simply turn on "Safe Bass" and adjust the frequency if needed.

That's it - It's really that simple ! (Especially for Mastering)

Advanced Panning

Additionally A1StereoControl brings you the possibility to place your stereo signal inside the stereo field in a very intuitive way. Our Expert Mode features different "pan laws" (0db, -3db, -6db), different pan curves (linear, logarithmic, sin/cos) as well as classic "balance" mode or "dual panning".

Pattern Sequence

Each section of step length buttons & step volume faders represents one beat of your pattern sequence. You can choose between "No Step", "ShortStep", "LongStep" and "StepLink" by simply pressing a step length button. Each beat consists of 4 steps (1/16 notes in "Normal Mode") or 3 steps (1/8 notes in "Triplet Mode") and each step has its own step volume fader above to dial in its relative level.

Integrated FX

The integrated FX ("Lowpass Filter", "Drive/Distortion" and "Echo/Delay") are designed as easy as possible. No vast amounts of parameters to dial in to get the desired effect on your sound. Simply turn it on and tweak it a little and you're ready to go !

Of course there is a "Global FX Off" switch to step through all presets without any of the integrated FX. Professional producers will appreciate that little feature.

Grooove BPB is a virtual drum sampler instrument, based on the excellent Grooove plugin by brunsandspork. This brilliant drum sampler puts an emphasis on playability and expressiveness, making sampled drums sound as dynamic and life-like as possible with easily accessible modulation controls.

This unique drum sampler features dual drum slots (6 in Grooove BPB, 128 in Grooove), each capable of holding two different drum samples simultaneously, with per-sample controls for volume, pan, pitch, sample start, and length. Each drum slot also comes with a built-in LFO for modulating the filter cutoff and resonance, volume, pan, mix, pitch, sample delay, fade in/out, and sample start/end times.

All of these parameters can also be modulated via MIDI note velocity, which is the key to how Grooove makes sampled drums sound "alive". Simply add a bit of velocity modulation to your snare sample’s filter cutoff and it will sound more muffled at lower velocities, just like a real drum!

Apart from functioning as a VST or AU plugin in all compatible host applications on Windows and Mac OS, Grooove BPB can also work in standalone mode with basic MIDI file loading capabilities. Both 32-bit and 64-bit systems are fully supported.
